Tom Oetinger joined UNH Manchester in September 2011 as an Assistant Director of Admissions. He previously worked for Granite State College as an Admissions Coach and member of their faculty; teaching classes in management and business.

Before entering the field of college admissions Tom completed a 30 year career in police service in Philadelphia, PA and later Laconia, NH where he served as Chief of Police from 2002 through 2007.

He holds an M.A. from Notre Dame College in Theology (Social Justice) and a B.S. from Granite State College in Criminal Justice Administration. Tom is also a consultant to The International Association of Chiefs of Police and Department of Justice, Office for Victims of Crime on the issues relating to police response to criminal victimization.

Tom is also an avid hiker who enjoys traveling with his wife and family
