Postcard for the Smyth summer music series

UNH Manchester invites children and their families to laugh and learn with us at the Summer Music Series. Thanks to the generous support of the Frederick Smyth Trust, all of our events are FREE and open to the public.

Seating is limited and events last approximately 45-minutes to one-hour. An RSVP is requested for all of the events.

All programs will be held at UNH Manchester, 88 Commercial Street, in room 201 on the second floor. Free parking is available at 88 Commercial Street in the front and back of the building in the spots marked student parking. Additional paid parking can be found on the street and at the Center of N.H., Radisson Hotel garage.


Fabled: A Journey through the World of Aesop (UNH’s Little Red Wagon

Journey through the land of lessons, where creatures of all kinds struggle with their own obsessions. Some are busy, some are lazy, some just want more than their fair share. The world of Aesop is filled with stories. This show is sure to be anything but boring! Follow along as the magnetic cast of the 2017 Little Red Wagon weaves together stories by Aesop. This program is offered by UNH's Little Red Wagon.

Judy Pancoast and the Judy Crew Dancers

Grammy-nominated children's artist Judy Pancoast and her Judy Crew Dancers will once again bring the fun to the Smyth Summer Music Series with their lively interactive concert. Kids of all ages love Judy's original music and jump at the chance to dance with members of the Judy Crew as they enter the audience during the last part of the show. Judy has been creating memorable music for kids for over two decades and has performed over a thousand concerts for families across the country. Come and see why folks are now bringing their own children to see the beloved children's musician from their youth!

Steve Blunt & Friends--featuring Marty Kelley
Rockin' Kids' Music & Read-Aloud Fun!

A high-energy show with catchy tunes, lively rhythms, and lots of silliness! The band features award-winning children’s musician, Steve Blunt, on vocals and guitar; author/illustrator, Marty Kelley, on drums and harmonica; Berklee grad, Joe Pierog, on bass; and Noelle Boc, the singing librarian, on tambourine and ukulele. Marty will also read a few of his wild and crazy books--with illustrations projected onto the big screen! Music is always more fun when friends come out to play--and this rockin’ show invites audience members of all ages to join in with singing, dancing, shaker eggs and more!

Treasure Island (UNH’s Little Red Wagon)

There once was an old pirate who lived long ago. Before he died, he buried his loot on the mystical Treasure Island. Now on a fantastical journey with pirates and parrots, mutinies and storms, follow along as the adventure takes our young hero to places he never expected to go. Don't forget! Where "X" marks the spot, the treasure can be found!
