Join us to celebrate the hard work of students in this summer's EXCELL Program (Educational Excellence for English Language Learners).
EXCELL is an intensive five-week summer course that helps students who are Speakers of Other Languages improve their academic English skills and introduces them to US college culture.
Established in 2004, the program offers intensive English instruction and college planning support to a group of fifteen selected students, ages 12-14, from Manchester middle schools. The curriculum focuses on language and science and includes laboratory experiments, computer research, and field trips to the UNH Cooperative Extention and the Seacoast Science Center at Odiorne Point.
The 2012 summer EXCELL program is funded by a grant from the Norwin S. and Elizabeth N. Bean Foundation and support from the UNH Provost's Office.
