Challenge your prejudice by checking out a “Human Book” in The Human Library at UNH Manchester.

UNH Manchester is pleased to offer the first Greater Manchester Human Library together with Goffstown High school and the Goffstown Public Library this spring.

The Human Library is a living, breathing library where humans are the books and the stories are their lives. It is an innovative method designed to promote dialogue, reduce prejudices and encourage understanding.

“Human Books” available to check-out at UNH Manchester will include stories from people who have experienced stereotyping and/or prejudice due to race, sex, disability, sexual preference, gender identity, religion/belief, profession, and/or lifestyle choices. The event will provide a forum for human books and human readers to talk about sensitive topics in a safe and respectful environment.

For more information about the “Human Book” project, please contact Carolyn Gamtso in the UNH Manchester Library.
