Paid Student Positions
The purpose of these positions is to build on-campus community, positively influence recruitment and retention, improve the quality of student life and engagement in on-campus activities, and provide students with paying on-campus jobs. These positions are open for ANY Activity Fee Paying Student on the Manchester Campus.
Available Positions for Spring 2012
Student Activities Office: SAFAC Representative
Job Purpose: To increase organization stability and representation on campus by uniting all groups to utilize the Student Activity Fee to its fullest.
Job Description:
- Attend weekly SAFAC Meetings (Tuesdays, from Noon-1PM)
- Attend your club’s (if applies) meetings and report and advocate for funding
- Represent your club and interests in the weekly meetings
- Actively participate in the SAFAC meeting by offering opinions and suggestions
- Work to better the school culture and environment
Expectations:
- Gain an understanding and working knowledge of the areas of Student Activities
- Gain hands-on experience working with a fund of over $120,000
- Appreciates student activities and the role it plays in student life
- Learn how to advocate for the needs of your program/interest
- Learn how to properly budget for an event
- Work with a student group on events

Student Activities Office: Student Club/Org: Group Leader
Job Purpose: To increase organizations within the campus in order to build community in our urban campus and to create a sense of belonging for students at the college.
Job Description:
- Must plan and run two activities for the student population each semester (publicity, event running and wrap up included)
- Must be maintain constant communication with Student Activities Office
- Must hold at least monthly meetings for the club
- Coordinate club representation at various functions (orientation, weeks of welcome, tours) on campus
- To be a part of the C2 (Club Council) for club programming
Expectations:
- Gain an understanding and working knowledge of the areas of Student Activities
- Gain hands-on experience working with a program from beginning to end
- Plan, publicize and execute your own programs
- Learn hands on team building, people management, and event planning strategies
