The Center for Academic Enrichment provides English and math assessments to aid incoming students in course selection. These tools are designed to help you assess your strengths and weaknesses and make choices that will facilitate your academic success. Assessments can be taken online both in a place and at a time that is most convenient for you!
All incoming students needing a first-year writing course are required to take the English assessment. Incoming students needing a quantitative reasoning course are strongly encouraged to take the math assessment. Students looking to enroll in MATH 425: Calculus I are required to take the math assessment unless they already meet the prerequisite for the course. Invitations to the assessment pages are only sent to students that have been determined to need an assessment. Check your UNH Wildcats email for your invitation(s) and for more information about how to take the assessment(s).
Assessments should be completed prior to your scheduled advising appointment to ensure personalized class selections that are appropriate for you.
If you have a documented disability which requires testing accommodations, we recommend you contact Student Accessibility Coordinator, Jenessa Zurek at email@example.com or (603) 641-4170 prior to taking your assessment(s).
Appropriate documentation must be submitted to and approved by Student Accessibility Services to ensure the CAE is able to provide the necessary accommodations for assessments.
