Former NH Governor John Lynch discussed disaster preparedness with UNH Master of Public Administration graduate students in "Homeland Security", taught by adjunct professor Don Bliss. Lynch used events from the "100-Year Flood of 2005" to provide the Manchester students with an opportunity to simulate the decision making process necessary during natural disaster emergency management. Since 1963, the UNH MPA program has trained and educated public service and non-profit professionals in NH and beyond. The curriculum is built around a solid core of knowledge for all public service or non-profit professionals, and offers a wide range of electives to prepare professionals for the next step in their professional career. The MPA program is holding its next information session on: Tuesday, July 2 at 4:30 pm. Prospective students will have the opportunity to learn more about the Master of Public Administration Program, as well as sit in on the first class (begins at 5:30), “The Art of Negotiation,” taught by Professor Terry Knowles, Assistant Director, Charitable Trusts, NH Attorney General’s Office.
