Student Computing

Our open computing clusters provide you with computer access in a productive working environment for academic activities. A MyUNH Account is required to log in to UNH Student Cluster Computers.

Printing is available in all computer clusters using Cat's Cache. Scanning is also available from student Xerox copiers and the Learning Commons KIC Scanner. 

Student computers include Microsoft Office, Web Browsing, SPSS, Adobe Reader, and a variety of course-specific software.”

Learning Commons Computing

The second floor Learning Commons is the site of our main computer cluster. 

  • We have Windows laptops available for students, staff, and faculty to borrow.
  • Cluster (desktop) computers run Windows. Select iMac stations also run MacOS
  • Computing help can be found at the Learning Commons Help Desk
1st Floor Open Cluster

On the South end of the first floor, there is a small cluster that is available any time UNH Manchester is open, even if the Learning Commons is not open. Printing can be retrieved down the hall in the Engineering Technology common area.

Guest Workstations

The Learning Commons provides one Windows workstation for Manchester community members, UNH alumni and all other guests.

  • Visitors are allowed 60 minutes of computer use per day.

The campus provides access to high speed wireless internet access.

  • Security policies are placed on the wireless network to allow use of the Web and email. This network traffic is monitored for excessive consumption of bandwidth.
  • If you plan to use the wireless network, check your laptop to determine if it has wireless network capability installed. If not, you will need to purchase a wireless network card.
  • Your laptop should also have current virus protection. Click here for more information.
  • Please be sure to read and understand the UNH Acceptable Use Policy (as detailed by the USNH Online Policy Manual) at the University of New Hampshire

This network is a heavily restricted basic wireless network for non-UNH users to be able to browse the internet while on campus.

  • UNH-Public is not suitable for students, faculty, or staff

A high-speed internet connection for all UNH students, faculty, and staff.
