How to Register

Fall Semester:

Step 1: Schedule an appointment with your advisor.

  • Schedule an appointment with your advisor to register for your classes for the fall semester. If you do not know who your advisor is, you can find out through Webcat by clicking on Student Services & Financial Aid -> Student Records -> View Major and Advisor.
  • If you have a faculty advisor, contact Ellen Ruggles at 603-641-4168 to schedule an appointment.
  • Please contact the Academic Counseling Office at 603-641-4170 if you have any questions.

Step 2: Prepare yourself for your advising appointment.

  • Look at the course schedule online to find courses. This course planning worksheet is a helpful tool to help you with planning.
  • Note: There are some courses for which you may not register until you take a placement test with our Center for Academic Enrichment. More information is available here.
  • Review the registration dates for fall (see below) and determine your total earned credits. 
    • How to determine your earned credits: You can review your cumulative earned credits on your unofficial transcript through Webcat by clicking on Student Records > Transcript > Academic Transcript. Note that the registration groups are determined by earned credits only and do not include any credits currently in progress this semester.

    • Registration Dates: You will receive information during your advising meeting with your specific registration start time. Be sure to check your Wildcats email account for additional details.

Registration will be closed from May 9th through July 11th for new student orientation registration. If you do not register before May 8th, you will not be able to register again until July 12th.

Step 3: Discuss your ideas with your advisor.

  • You will need to get your Registration Access Code (RAC) from your advisor to register online or in person (this number changes each semester).

Step 4: Tuition bill.

  • Look for Fall electronic tuition bills on July 13, 2017.
  • Be sure to pay your tuition bill by August 10, 2017 to avoid a late fee and to avoid being dropped from your classes. Check MyUNH | WebCat

New students must attend an orientation prior to registering for classes. You will be assigned an advisor who will help with course selection then you may register for courses online or at the Registration Office. 

January Term:

Registrations are accepted through any of the following methods. Payment is expected at the time of registration.

  • Online: Students who have taken UNH classes in the past and are paying by credit card or electronic check can log into MyUNH and then click "Webcat/Services" tab.
  • Email: Download or print the registration form and return it to unhm.registration@unh.edu
  • By Phone: Call the Registrar's Office at 603-641-4136
  • By Mail: Send your completed registration form to: Registration Office, UNH Manchester, 88 Commercial Street, Manchester, NH 03101.
  • By Fax: Students can fax their completed registration form to the Registrar's Office. The fax number is 603-641-4125.
  • In Person: You may register in person at the Registrar's Office, Student Services Suite, 4th floor, 88 Commercial Street, Manchester, NH.

Spring Semester:

Step 1: Schedule an appointment with your advisor.

  • Schedule an appointment with your advisor to select your classes for the spring semester. If you do not know who your advisor is, you can find out through Webcat by clicking on Student Services & Financial Aid -> Student Records -> View Major and Advisor.

  • If your advisor is Stephanie Kirylych, Kristen Beck, Jennifer Logsdon or Katie Croteau, please call (603) 641-4170 or stop by the student services suite to make an appointment.

  • Complete your advising & registration worksheet with your advisor. 
  • Don't forget to get your advisor's signature on your registration form. You’ll also need to get your Registration Access Code (RAC) from your advisor to register online or in person (this number changes each semester).
