Financial Aid
The Financial Aid Office at UNH recognizes that the financial aid process can be confusing. Our highly trained professional staff is here to assist current and prospective UNH students and their families. We have included helpful links to tips on applying for aid, scholarship information and searches, and important deadline and code information. If you need more information or have any questions, our staff is available to assist students by phone, appointment or walk-in.
Students must complete the 2012-2013 Free Application for Federal Financial Aid (FAFSA) to be reviewed for financial aid at UNH. The FAFSA asks for information regarding the student and the student's parents' financial situation if the student is considered as a dependent according to the FAFSA definitions.
Students must meet the following basic federal financial aid eligibility requirements:
- Enrollment in a degree program
- Attend classes at least half-time (6 or more credits per semester)
- Documentation of United States citizenship or eligible non-citizen status.
Net Price Calculator
UNH has partnered with the College Board to offer a Net Price Calculator -- a tool that will help you determine just how affordable UNH (either the Manchester or Durham campus) may be for your family. The calculator will present you a sample of the kind of need-based award you may receive once you are admitted and have applied for financial aid. Please note: This tool is not intended for currently enrolled students or transfer students. It also does not indicate any merit-based financial aid a full-time incoming freshman may qualify for at UNH.
Durham Students
If you are a UNH Durham campus student please contact the Durham Financial Aid Office via http://financialaid.unh.edu/contact-us for all financial aid.
UNH Manchester Graduate Students
As a graduate student your financial aid is processed at the Durham campus. The Durham staff may be reached at (603) 862-3600. However, you may contact the Manchester Financial Aid Office for general questions
