Video: Madison Hardy ’25 Turns Passion for ASL Into a Career
For Madison Hardy ’25, ASL is more than a language—it’s a way to connect and make an impact. As an ASL/English interpreting major at UNH Manchester, Madison has turned her passion into real-world experience, working with the Deaf community through hands-on coursework, the ASL Club and an internship at the Massachusetts Department of Health.
“Interpreting is all about connection,” Madison says. “The experiences I’ve had at UNH Manchester have prepared me to enter the field with confidence and cultural understanding.”
With a growing demand for skilled interpreters, UNH Manchester’s ASL/English interpreting program gives students like Madison the language skills, hands-on experience and community connections to succeed in this meaningful career.
