Care Team

CARE Team at UNH Manchester

Campus Assessment, Response, and Evaluation

What is the CARE Team?

The CARE Team is here to support students in all aspects of their college experience—academically, socially, emotionally, and physically. We reach out to students who may be facing challenges and help connect them with the right resources and support. Through this outreach, it is our goal to make students aware of the resources available to them to help them be successful.

What Can the CARE Team Help With?

Students may be referred to the CARE Team when they’re experiencing:

  • Academic stress or burnout
  • Financial difficulties
  • Illness or injury
  • Loss of a loved one
  • Housing or personal challenges
  • Noticeable changes in behavior or mood
  • Any other number of challenging issues that face college students throughout their college experience

Any concerns regarding a student that may warrant some kind of intervention can be referred to the CARE Team for review.

Who Can Submit a Student of Concern Referral?

Anyone in the UNH Manchester or College of Professional Studies community—faculty, staff, or peers—can submit a Student of Concern Referral for any student, undergraduate or graduate.

What Happens After You Submit?

  • A CARE Team member reviews reports within 24 hours
  • The team meets weekly to discuss cases
  • We coordinate outreach and connect students with campus and community resources
  • All reports are handled with care and confidentiality, unless there’s an immediate safety concern
