Undergraduate Drop-in Hours

New Students! Students who are new to UNH and are enrolling for the fall semester should review the resources available on our New Student Advising webpage to prepare for advising and registration.

* Note: Fall 2024 undergraduate registration closes on Monday, May 6 at 11:59pm. Registration will not reopen until 8:00am on Wednesday, July 10.

Some services are not available during drop-in hours, for example academic and graduation plans. Advising drop-in hours are subject to change due to advisor availability. To confirm availability, please call (603)641-4170. 

Scheduled Appointments

Professional advisors use campaigns through myWildcatSuccess to invite their assigned advisees to schedule their required appointments. If you’ve been invited to a campaign, you will receive an email to your UNH student email.

Here’s how to schedule:
  • Open the email your advisor sent you.
  • Read the email thoroughly for important information about how to prepare for your appointment.
  • Click the scheduling link.
  • You will be brought to their calendar to select a day and time, click through the calendar to find the day and time that works best for you
  • Read through the appointment confirmation details carefully.
  • “How would you like to meet?” Appointment Modality
    NOTE: Pay close attention to whether the appointment is in-person or virtual.
    • Some of our services will have a pre-determined modality. This means that you will not be able to choose the modality. Be sure to make note of the modality listed on the appointment confirmation and plan to attend accordingly.
    • Some of our services allow you to choose your appointment modality. If you see both the in-person and virtual options in the drop-down menu, you will be able to choose your preferred appointment modality from the menu. Be sure to make note of the modality you choose and plan to attend accordingly. Last minute appointment modality changes cannot always be accommodated.
  • Add any comments you’d like your advisor to know ahead of time.
  • Add your phone number to receive a text reminder.
  • Click the blue “schedule” button.
  • Check your UNH student email for an appointment confirmation. If you do not receive a confirmation, the appointment has not been successfully scheduled.
  • Set a reminder on your calendar so you remember to attend the appointment.

Students are welcome to schedule an appointment with a professional advisor outside of their required appointments, by scheduling under general availability

Note: During busy times of year, when there are active campaigns, there may be limited appointments through general availability.

Here’s how to schedule:
  • Go to myWildcatSuccess and log in.
  • From the student home page, click the blue “Schedule an Appointment” button.
  • From the first drop-down menu, titled “What type of appointment would you like to schedule?” click “Manchester”.
  • From the “Service” drop-down menu, select the service that best suits your needs.
  • From the “Pick a Date” drop-down menu, select your preferred date.
  • Click the blue “find available time” button.
  • The next screen will show all available days and times near your preferred date. Review the days and times and click the time that works best for you to continue. Note: you can filter using the drop-down menus on the left hand side of the page.
  • On the “Review Appointment Details and Confirm” page, read the details to make sure they’re correct.

  • Add any relevant notes you’d like your advisor to know prior to your meeting in the “Would you like to share anything else” comment section.
  • We recommend that you enable both email and text reminders. Enter your phone number to receive a text reminder.
  • Click the blue “Schedule” button.
  • Check your UNH student email for an appointment confirmation. If you do not receive a confirmation, the appointment has not been successfully scheduled.
  • Set a reminder on your calendar so you remember to attend the appointment.

Appointments must be cancelled or rescheduled 24 hours in advance.

Cancel from your email confirmation:
  1. Open your UNH student email.
  2. Find the email appointment confirmation for your advising appointment.
  3. Scroll down and click the “Cancel Appointment” link. This will bring you into myWildcatSuccess.
  4. From the drop-down menu, select a reason you’re cancelling the appointment.
  5. Add comments.
  6. Click the blue “Cancel Appointment” button
Cancel through myWildcatSuccess:
  1. Log into myWildcatSuccess
  2. Look to the right-hand side of the screen for the “Upcoming Appointments” section. Click the blue header of the appointment. This will bring you to a pop-up menu titled “Manage Appointment”.
  3. Click “Cancel Appointment” in the lower left-hand side of the pop-up menu.
  4. From the drop-down menu titled “Select who to cancel”, click “Entire Appointment.”
  5. From the drop-down menu titled “Select a reason”, click the reason that best matches why you need to cancel.
  6. Add comments if you’d like to.
  7. Click the blue “Mark as Cancelled” button.
  8. If the cancellation is successful, you will see a red message appear saying “Appointment Cancelled.”
Call or Email to Cancel:

During business hours, Monday-Friday from 9:00-4:30, you can also call or email us to cancel or reschedule your appointment.

How to reschedule an appointment:
  1. Cancel your appointment using the steps listed above.
  2. After you’ve cancelled your appointment, schedule a new appointment.

In an effort to provide advising to all students, UNH Manchester Academic Advising has a no-show policy. This policy is not designed as a punishment; rather, it serves as a reminder to be respectful of the time of other students and advisors. 

We understand that life happens, and schedules can change unexpectedly. Students can cancel appointments through myWildcatSuccess, calling 603-641-4170, or emailing unhm.advising@unh.edu at least 24 hours before the appointment. 

A no-show is noted in the system if: 

  • A student arrives more than 10 minutes late for an appointment 
  • A student fails to cancel an appointment at least 24 hours in advance 

Repeated no-shows (2 or more) will jeopardize your ability to schedule future advising appointments.
