To be considered for financial aid at UNH, students must complete the Free Application for Federal Financial Aid (FAFSA) annually. Students who file the FAFSA by the March 1st priority deadline will be reviewed for financial aid earliest. While the filing deadline is March 1, it’s best to file as early as possible. In fact, the FAFSA may be filed as early as Oct. 1. The sooner you file, the more aid options will be available to you as you consider financial aid awards at all institutions.
UNH Title IV School Code: 002589
When completing the FAFSA form it is important to indicate our Title IV school code (you should indicate UNH, Durham, N.H. as the address). This allows the federal processor to send your FAFSA information to the University of New Hampshire. The above Title IV school code is good for both the Manchester campus and the Durham campus.
Please note: Students must reapply for financial aid each academic year.
