
Earl LaBatt joined UNH Manchester as an adjunct professor of computer information systems in 1999. His course work has included Introduction to Scientific Programming and Application Programming using Java.
20+ years of industry experience includes:
- Developing decision aids, tracking and reporting systems, and mission planning tools at Rome Laboratory.
- Developing Motif based user interfaces and algorithms for real-time applications, calibration software for the F-22 airplane, component based frameworks using Java and Jini, and reusable architectures for distributed heterogeneous applications at Lockheed Martin.
- Developing generic grouping technology, servlets, dashboards, low-level data collectors, and server-side business logic at OPNET Technologies.
- Managing software development teams which include: allocating tasks, managing the development and release schedules, interacting with quality assurance, and supporting technical support.
He has developed software using a variety of languages with the most notable being Java, C, C++, and Ada. He is presently working for OPNET Technologies.
