Advising Forms

Below are the advising forms for UNH Manchester majors. These forms list requirements for each major. 

Manchester campus bachelor's degree students may request a change of major/option, add a second major/option or drop a second major/option using the online process in Webcat.

How to access the Change of Major/Option Request:

  1. Log into my.usnh.edu
  2. Access WebCat
  3. From the top menu, hover over “Student Records”
  4. Select “Change major/option”

Once your request is successfully submitted, it will be reviewed by the UNH Manchester Dean’s Office. If your request is approved, you will receive a confirmation email to your UNH student inbox.

Note: Starting August 2024, paper or PDF Change of Program forms will not be accepted for changes of major.

The Change of Program Form linked below must be used to change to/from UNH Durham from UNH Manchester (also known as the College of Professional Studies, Manchester Division).

Change of Program Form

Changing from Manchester to Durham:

Please complete the Change of Program form electronically and email it to unhm.advising@unh.edu for processing.

Changing from Durham to Manchester:

The request to change campuses will need to begin in Durham. For more information, please visit the Registrar’s Website.

After your form has been reviewed by your current advisor and dean, send it to unhm.advising@unh.edu for further processing in Manchester.

The Intent to Minor form should be used to notify your advisor of the minor(s) you plan to complete. After you submit the form, the results will be shared with your professional advisor and you will receive a confirmation email with additional information.

Note: Once you’ve completed all requirements for your minor, you must submit the Certification of Completion of Minor Form to the Registration Office for your minor to be transcripted.

The Petition a Variance in Policy form can be used to request an exception to a particular University policy.

Please complete the Petition of Variance form electronically and collect any necessary documentation. Then, submit academic petitions to unhm.petitions@unh.edu and financial petitions to unhm.businessoffice@unh.edu.

Students must complete the Transfer Credit Prior Approval process before taking courses at another institution while enrolled in a UNH undergraduate degree program.

Please complete the Transfer Credit Prior Approval form and collect course descriptions. If you are requesting to take a course and have it transfer into your major, you will also need to obtain your Program Coordinator’s approval before submitting your form to Academic Advising.

When you’re ready to submit your form and course descriptions, you can send them to unhm.advising@unh.edu.

How to complete the Transfer Credit Prior Approval form:

After the drop deadline, students can complete the Course Withdrawal Form to withdraw from a course until the withdrawal deadline (the 60% mark of the term). Review the Academic Calendar to review these deadlines.

Students must speak with an advisor prior to making any changes to their schedule. Dropping below full-time status will impact financial aid and billing.

Degree Requirements by Major

Freshmen admitted Fall 2010 and after and transfer students admitted Fall 2011 and after follow the Discovery Program. Students admitted prior to these dates follow the General Education Program.
