Lynne Ober is an adjunct professor of computer information systems at UNH Manchester. Her interest in computer technology developed when she did a project using computers while earning her master’s degree at University of Southern California. This introduction sparked an interest in all things technical and while she finished her Master of Science in management, she quickly did an additional 42 graduate hours in technology at New Mexico State University. She has spent years working in the high technology field and has been responsible for designing, managing and implementing networks, managing user support efforts, evaluating hardware and software, leading a number of successful system design and implementation projects and budgeting for many phases of the technical field.
Today she combines her love of teaching with her love of technology and continues to work in both arenas. She joined UNH Manchester in 2002 and began teaching CIS 510 and CIS 411. With the rising popularity of digital photography and the digital darkroom, she became a certified Photoshop Professional and added professional photographer to her resume.
In 2004 she was elected to be a New Hampshire State Representative and served on the prestigious Science, Technology and Energy Committee where she co-authored a number of important legislative initiatives for New Hampshire. At the request of leadership in the House of Representatives, she moved to the Finance Committee where she provides guidance for a variety of technical projects and budgets.
