Foundations of Success Track

The Foundations of Success Track is designed to give conditionally admitted students the skills, guidance and resources to be accepted into a bachelor’s degree program at UNH Manchester. We believe students who may not meet the prerequisite courses or grades for admission can still be successful here, and the Foundations of Success Track was created to highlight that.

Requirements
  • Enroll in a maximum of 14 credits your first semester (three 4-credit courses and UMST 401 – First Year Seminar). Your academic advisor will help you select courses that align with your academic goals.
  • Meet regularly with your assigned student success coach.
  • Participate in a minimum of three Student Success Workshops each semester, which focus on academic skills and wellness and are designed to support all UNH Manchester students.

Student Success Workshops may include wellness support, financial literacy awareness, and academic skill-building sessions, in partnership with various campus support offices. The goal of these workshops is to provide students with the necessary tools for success. Since student goals and needs are individualized, these workshops will also be tailored to meet individual student need.

If you meet these requirements and earn a minimum 2.7 GPA during first semester, you’ll be admitted into your desired major. If you do not, you’ll continue the Foundations of Success Track for a second semester:

  • Enroll in a maximum of 14 credits your second semester (three 4-credit courses and UMST – Resiliency and Student Success). Your academic advisor will help you select courses that align with your academic goals.
  • Meet regularly with your assigned student success coach.
  • Participate in a minimum of three Student Success Workshops each semester, which focus on academic skills and wellness and are designed to support all UNH Manchester students.
