Bridge Street Café

This one gets mentioned a lot by students, and for good reason. The breakfast sandwiches are solid, the coffee’s strong, and it’s only a few blocks from campus. It’s an easy spot to meet a friend or grab something quick between classes. Bonus: They usually have a student discount, so don’t forget your ID.
The Bookery
📍 844 Elm Street
It’s part bookstore, part café, part event space—and a great place to post up with your laptop or just take a break. You’ll find good coffee, cozy seating, and sometimes live music or poetry readings. It’s the kind of place where you walk in for a tea and end up staying for hours.

UNH Manchester is located in the historic Amoskeag Millyard, an area full of character and history. These red-brick buildings once powered the largest textile manufacturing operation in the world. Today, they’re home to schools, startups, museums and creative spaces. Take a walk down Commercial Street or the Riverwalk and you’ll start to see why students love this part of the city.
Millyard Technology Park

This beautifully restored mill complex has high ceilings, original hardwood floors and exposed brick, giving it serious New England vibes. It’s home to a mix of small businesses, including marketing firms, manufacturers and tech startups. It’s a cool reminder that innovation is happening right down the block.
Arms Park + Riverwalk

The SEE Science Center + Millyard Museum

Practically in our backyard and free with your student ID. SEE has interactive science exhibits (plus the world’s largest permanent LEGO® Millyard Project), while the Millyard Museum gives you a glimpse into Manchester’s history. Definitely worth checking out.
Currier Museum of Art

A little further out, but an easy bus or car ride. Free with your student ID. The Currier hosts local and international exhibits, and its First Thursday events feature food trucks, live music and art-making.
Manchester City Library

Need a quiet study spot off campus? This historic library is a favorite for finals week, but it’s also a great option year-round when you want a change of pace and a little peace.
Osaka Hibachi & Sushi Bar

If you’re a sushi fan, Osaka is a go-to. Students rave about their spicy miso noodles and generous portions. It’s a short ride from campus and well worth the trip.
Palace Theatre
