With 90 percent of qualified students receiving financial aid and $1 million in scholarships awarded each year, it’s UNH Manchester’s mission to give you a world-class education that fits your lifestyle, goals and budget.
Our team is here to help you and your family navigate the financial aid process so you can get the UNH diploma you dream of.
The IRS Data Retrieval Tool is unavailable at this time. We regret any inconvenience. To fill out a FAFSA, you can manually input your tax information. Remember, if you’re filling out the 2017–18 FAFSA form, your 2015 tax information is required (not 2016).
To be considered for financial aid at UNH, students must complete the Free Application for Federal Financial Aid (FAFSA) and submit annually by March 1. State deadlines indicated on the form do not apply to the UNH deadline.
The importance of this deadline cannot be overstated. While you may still qualify for financial aid after the deadline (example: Pell Grants and Federal Direct Loans) you may receive substantially less total aid if your application is late. For example, UNH currently does not review students eligibility for certain programs (example: SEOG, Perkins Loan and Federal Work-Study) if their financial aid application is received by the federal processor after the March 1st deadline.
When completing the FAFSA form it is important to indicate our Title IV school code (you should indicate UNH, Durham, N.H. as the address). This allows the federal processor to send your FAFSA information to the University of New Hampshire. The above Title IV school code is good for both the Manchester campus and the Durham campus.
Please note: Students must reapply for financial aid each academic year.
