Matthew Salter
Profile
Matt Salter joined the University of New Hampshire at Manchester community in 2021 as the Director of Student Engagement. In this role, Matt provides leadership and support to create an integrated, holistic student engagement and wellness enrichment opportunities that transcend throughout the UNH Manchester student experience. This is done through collaboration with many departments on campus to enrich the student experience. Matt enjoys mentoring and supporting both professional staff and student leaders during their time at UNH Manchester.
Dr. Salter has been working in higher education since 2008 and received his doctorate from Plymouth State University in Higher Education Administrative Leadership. He has a Masters of Education degree in Educational Leadership with a concentration in Higher Education Administration from The College of William and Mary, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Psychology from Gettysburg College. Prior to arriving at the University of New Hampshire at Manchester, Dr. Salter led the Office of Community Standards at Keene State College and he has prior experience in career advising, college admissions, honor codes, orientation, student conduct, and residential life.
