In order to apply for financial aid at UNH Manchester, you must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). You must reapply for financial aid each academic year by completing a new FAFSA.
The FAFSA asks for information about you, the student, and your parents' financial situation, if you’re considered dependent as established by the FAFSA.
When filling out the FASFA, it requires information from your, your parents’ and your spouse’stax return from the last completed tax year. While it is better to have your taxes when completing the FAFSA, it is encouraged that you file an application with estimated information in order to meet the priority deadline. You can later update the FAFSA at a later date using the Data Retrieval Tool.
The IRS Data Retrieval Tool is unavailable at this time. We regret any inconvenience. To fill out a FAFSA, you can manually input your tax information. Remember, if you’re filling out the 2017–18 FAFSA form, your 2015 tax information is required (not 2016).
If you believe you have unusual family circumstance that is not reflected on the FAFSA, you may complete and submit the Special Circumstance Form to the UNH Manchester Financial Aid Office.
You will receive an email from UNH Manchester indicating that an award is ready to view on WebCat. This lists the types of aid that you qualify for as soon as you have completed the financial aid process, and have been accepted into a degree program. You may accept all, none or a portion of the aid that is awarded to them. Please complete the Award Acceptance form to validate the acceptance of your aid.
