Edward Nelson

Adjunct Faculty

Edward Nelson currently works at Cadec Global, developing fleet management software for the transportation industry. Specifically, Edward works in C++ and C# when writing software for the on-board computer, where he has expertise in communications over wifi and cell networks. On the server, Edward develop tables and stored procedures for an Oracle database to support Cadec's business intelligence package. He's also developing software for handheld devices such as the MC95, MC 75 and MC65 on Windows CE and Windows Mobile.

At Liberty Mutual, Edward was part of the Architecture and Utilities team. Technologies used include C++, Java, DB2, Tuxedo, Linux.

He's taught Lego Robotics to children, ages 7 to 14, at summer camps run by Digital Brix Studios. Edward also worked as a database consultant at CWR Marketing, where he developed user-friendly software that tracked orders and reconciled orders sent versus orders received. His first job was at Origin Systems, a computer game company.

He's travelled to the United Kingdom, Norway, Germany, India, Nepal, China and Mongolia.
