The Department of Life Sciences prepares students for successful careers in healthcare, research, social services, education and industry. Through hands-on learning in our state-of-the-art classrooms and laboratories, students develop the analytical and communication skills necessary for admission to advanced graduate programs or competitive jobs in industry. Students will work with a faculty mentor to develop an individualized program of study that prepares them for admission to graduate programs in medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, physician assistant studies, clinical neuropsychology, physical therapy, occupational therapy, mental health counseling and primary or secondary education. Research is an integral part of these programs—students conduct research side-by-side with faculty and fellow students and publish their results in peer-reviewed journals or present at national and international conferences. Find your passion in the Life Sciences, and you’ll join a field that makes a difference in people’s lives.
