The Master of Social Work (MSW) program develops advanced professional knowledge and skills for persons interested in pursuing careers in the field of social work. The program includes one year of professional foundation courses followed by two years of coursework plus field study.
To accommodate students with varying vocational and family commitments, the MSW program is offered in a 3-year extended time model on the Manchester campus with classes on Friday evenings and Saturdays. The MSW field study requirement is 16 hours per week in year two and 24 hours per week in year three. Field study hours are typically completed during weekday business hours.
