In addition to her work as an Affiliate Specialist with UNH's STEM Discovery Lab, Sarah is also a Field Specialist with UNH Cooperative Extension in Science Literacy.

As an Affiliate Specialist with the UNH STEM Discovery Lab, Sarah leverages and coordinates the networking capacity of Cooperative Extension to facilitate partnerships, collaborations and engagement for NH youth and adults, through STEM programming, professional development and mentoring. 

In her role as a Field Specialist with UNH Cooperative Extension, Sarah is responsible for promoting STEM education in the state of New Hampshire. Sarah advises and develops STEM programming for youth organizations, teachers and for community partners. She specializes in science education, where she provides professional development for teachers, after-school professionals and volunteers in science curricula and science teaching methods with a focus on inquiry based teaching and learning. Sarah is involved in outreach work through NH EPSCoR, with a focus on environmental education, ecology and computer/mobile application development.

Sarah has been involved in science education for over 11 years and was a middle school science teacher in Vermont, where she focused much of her teaching on place-based education. Sarah enjoyed working as an environmental and agricultural educator and was an AmeriCorps VISTA at ECHO Lake Aquarium and Science center, in Burlington, VT where she developed an award winning teen science program. Sarah resides in Concord with her husband and two dogs and enjoys being active in the NH outdoors.

Sarah received her B.S. in wildlife biology and her M.A.T. in middle level science education from the University of Vermont.
